Charming Visit to Boxed & Burlap in Lake Geneva

On this particular side exploration, my good friend Shelby and I were driving home from Lake Geneva. To set the tone, it was kind of a gloomy Autumn day to begin with and we were exhausted from photographing a wedding the previous day. Although we were having a great time singing Post Malone songs (off key of course), you can say Shelby and I were looking for a quality pick-me-up. No less than 30 minutes into our drive, I noticed a huge COFFEE sign. I looked at Shelby and demanded, “we NEED to stop here.” Without hesitation she agreed! I made a couple quick maneuvers, and we arrived at our ever-so charming pit stop, Boxed & Burlap.

Upon arrival, we weren’t really sure what we had happened upon. We assumed there was coffee, I mean the sign was pretty obvious…but, as we arrived we started noticing this was also a cool event venue. It was hard to miss their Tiffany blue old-time car that stood out among all the white structures and dampened ground. We both loved it! As we continued on, we began to notice strung lights over a garden courtyard and a large rustic, modern barn over to the side. The whole place had such a cool vibe & calming atmosphere. I couldn’t help but wish we had a place like this back home. It is safe to say, I would have been a “regular.”

I am obsessed with the color white, so this place was a little slice of heaven – filled with greenery, a cool loft, a lot of light and good spirit. We ventured inside the coffeehouse to grab our much needed lavender coffee and white rose tea. Then with Canon cameras in hand we began to explore.
